2 KAR ENGR COY NCC

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. Cadets undergo a range of activities, including parades, drill, rifle training, and various adventure sports. The organization plays a vital role in nation-building and in preparing the youth to take on leadership roles in all walks of life, including serving in the armed forces.

The NCC aims to develop character, comradeship, discipline, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. It further aims to create a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life.

The 2 KAR ENGR COY NCC was established at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal in 1963. It is a distinguished engineering company of the National Cadet Corps, affiliated with the Mangalore Group, under the Karnataka and Goa Directorate.

We combine academic life with military training, including drill and adventure activities like trekking, which builds both physical and mental resilience. More than just a unit, we are a family dedicated to social service and community building. Our goal is to prepare confident and responsible individuals who are ready to serve the nation with courage and purpose.

The unit conducts regular training sessions, adventure activities, and social service programs, contributing to the holistic development of our cadets and service to the community.
